Spartist of the Month: Elliot Flores

The Spartist of the Month for December 2019 is Elliot Flores. Elliot has been drawing since she was little and has always been interested in art. She started to take art more during her eight grade year. During eighth grade, Elliot won the National PTSA Reflections competition. Along with this award, Elliot has been featured in many other art shows. Some of these shows included the Moraine Valley Community College High School Art Show and the Chicagoland 4×5 Art Show. She has received many honorable mentions in these shows for her art work. Elliot is very involved in the art program at Oak Lawn. She has taken multiple art classes and is involved in some of the art extracurricular activities that Oak Lawn has to offer. She is a member of the Visual Arts Club and is co-president of the Oak Lawn Chapter of National Art Honors Society. Elliot specializes in multiple mediums, including colored pencils and acrylics. She also does digital art and plans to spend more time to improve in that medium. Elliot believes that art is a great way to express yourself. She always loved creating her own world and characters through her art. Art has always been a dream of hers. She plans to continue her art education after high school as a concept artist or illustrator.
