Clockwork Princess is the third and final book of the Infernal Devices trilogy. There’s nothing worse then bad news on your wedding day, yet that’s exactly what Tessa Gray gets. Jem Carstairs, who we find out in previous books, is dependent on this drug called “yin fen” and cannot live without taking small doses of it. They receive the news that the whole supply was bought, leaving not even a speck for Jem, which brought the fear that he would die. Who could’ve possibly bought it? The main antagonist of the series, Mortmain. He requests for Tessa in exchange for the yin fen, that will prolong her fiancé’s life. Of course Jem opposes, but has that stopped Tessa before? They rescheduled the wedding for another day, so that the chaos and panic from this news settles down. Unexpectedly, the so called “traitor” Jessie Lovelace is sent back to the institute, which stirs everything up, once again creating a commotion. During this, emotions were flying around, fear hidden behind calm faces, automatons took the opportunity to seize Tessa. With Tessa kidnapped, Jem on his deathbed, Will just finding out how to explore and express his emotions, and the shocker, is Jessie really back? These can only leave your wondering, what will happen next?
