On November 20th, Mariola Gorlicki dove into Oak Lawn High School’s pool off the diving board with her kayak in her gym class learning how to gain control. Mariola was learning how to manage a kayak if it ever tips over and how to get out of it.

The Impact of Kayaking. Pictured from left to right we have Angelica Diaz, Andrew Mazurek, Tamer Que, David Garcia, Julia Munoz, Alexis DeAvilla, James Polich, Dylan Catalona-Wild kayaking in their Adventure Ed gym class last Friday. Their teacher Mr. Wagner said that “As you expose them to recreational activities like this, they can do this world wide. Water is 65% of this earth, being exposed to this in a controlled setting gives them the opportunity to take college classes, vacation and helps them be comfortable around water”.
