Hello, My name is Mia Reyes and I own a small business called “Wickeddolleyez”. I hand make gothic jewelry and accessories like earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and hair scrunchies. My dream of owning my own business started a couple years ago when I was enlightened with the idea of becoming “my own boss”. Project “Wickeddolleyez” began around 2 years ago. I first came up with the idea of being my own boss through seeing young entrepreneurs on shows like “Shark Tank” and I thought to myself “that’s what I want to do, that is who I’m meant to be”. Just to think that my first website layout was just a poorly made google sites website and has now turned into a professional and neat square site page.
Where I am now looks unbelievable compared to what I envisioned back then. I wish I could say the significance behind the name “Wickeddolleyez” is sentimental, but it just came about when I was brainstorming business name ideas. At the time I knew that I wanted to establish something that represents me, I’ve always loved gothic fashion, music and the overall goth culture and I’ve also always loved jewelry and accessories, so I figured making something that I’m truly passionate about was definitely something that I wanted to pursue. I have attended numerous craft shows/fairs so far and I plan to do more.
My family and friends have been nothing but supportive, and I am forever grateful for that. Without them, I don’t think I would have gotten this far into my business. I am very appreciative for the tremendous amount of support that I have received these past few months from everyone and I continue to look forward to creating and designing new accessories everyday.
