Hello! We’re the advice column, our goal is to give advice to whoever needs it :). Today we will be answering our very first submission! First, we want to say thank you for your question. Please note that we have the best intentions with our responses, we will answer the best we can!
Question: “I have a crush on this guy in my class, any advice on how to talk to him?”
We appreciate your inquiry! We feel that the best strategy to approach your crush is in a natural way. Don’t force yourself to be someone you’re not. Keep it simple, be yourself. To achieve this, be confident in who you are 🙂 Simple gestures such as a smile, small wave, or saying hi, hey or what’s up are sure ways to get his attention. This will lead to the start of a friendship in which you can eventually build off of – which could segway into a relationship (if that’s what you’re looking for). Don’t be afraid to be bold and take the opportunity (if given a chance) to get his social media (a good opportunity is if you’re working together in class/a group project), we recommend getting his snapchat since it’s a casual and simple form of communication. Don’t be afraid to text him, it could be school related at first, but with getting to know each other by talking in real life, it can develop into casual conversations. Also, if you two are ever in a group project together or if you need help on an assignment, this would be a great time to ask him for help – which can give you the chance to get closer with him and he is likely to take it – because who doesn’t like to show off a little bit of their smarts ;). Don’t get discouraged if he doesn’t respond immediately. Just keep trying! Remember that friendships take time and you can surely develop one with him as long as you remain consistent. Be patient and don’t lose hope. We believe in you! 🙂 We hope this advice helps you. Don’t hesitate to reach out again, we are here for you!
Good luck,
Miss. Sparty
