For the first time in Oak Lawn’s history, the homecoming dance will be held under the starry night sky! A momentous occasion fit for its theme:  Spartans Under the Starry Sky. On October 2nd from 7-10 pm on the football field, Student Council is hosting the 2021-2022 Under the Stars, homecoming dance! Tickets will be available for sale starting Monday the 27th during the lunch periods and will be sold for $20 each. In order to get into the dance you must have your physical I.D. card, no exceptions! Enter through the gates that we use for entering a typical football game. Since it is officially fall now, prepare for the weather, it may be a little chilly! There will be a coat check and snacks available for sale. Heels are allowed to be worn on the field. 

  Starting Monday, September 27 we will be kicking off our Hoco week with spirit week! Monday is Sleepy Start, stay in your PJs alllll daaaay while at school! Later that night will be the Powderpuff football game at 7:00. Come cheer on the Spartans as the Juniors take on the Seniors. Tuesday is It’s Getting Hot in Here, chill in your beach or Hawaiian attire. Wednesday is Under the Starry Sky, dress in your Hoco ‘21 T-shirt or all black like the night sky. Then at 6:30 will be the parade! Come cheer as different teams and clubs walk down Austin Avenue to OLCHS. Some memorable highlights will be the Spartan Marching Band, the Cheer team, Theater, and the Football team. At 7:30 following the parade will be the pep rally and fireworks show. Join the OLCHS teams/clubs as they are recognized on the Napleton Field. Experience the king and queen coronation before the fireworks show. The whole community is welcome! Thursday is Twin Thursday, double up as you dress like your pal(s) (or maybe even with your favorite teacher!). Friday will be as always, Spartan PRIDE! Wear all your green! That night will be the varsity football game at 7. Come cheer on your Spartans as they battle Tinley Park! Saturday is our homecoming dance! The dance is semi-formal. Make sure that if you take any pictures you use the hashtag #olchspride. Remember all school rules apply. Only OLCHS students are allowed. Be safe, have fun, and happy homecoming!
