The Oak Lawn Girls Cross Country has been building strength through the summer to prepare for their season which was postponed twice.  Their first two meets were cancelled due to heat and rain. On September 8th, their first meet at the Reavis High School Invitational, the varsity team, tracked a record of 10th place.  Emma McGrath, came in the running of 15th place on Varsity with a 3 mile score of 21.08 minutes. Olivia Shell placed 64th on varsity with a three mile time of 24:08. For the freshman/ sophomore team, Emily Mallo earned 32nd place in the competition.  Emily completed her three miles in 24:32 minutes, helping the freshman/sophmore team place 8th overall in the competition. Starting the season off on the right foot, the girls did an amazing job and continue practices everyday, strengthening their times for the next competition on September 15th.
