The Future of Apple!
Apple, one of the largest tech giants in today’s world, has shaken up the world again. This events topic, Education. Sydney Janik and Michal Landa got to go to a behind the scenes round table with other students from different schools around Chicago. The host of this round table was Apple vice president for product marketing Susan Prescott. A lot of very interesting questions came up during the round table from the very interested reporters. Susan also answered to the questions very well and explained Apples plans in detail. One question came from a Lane Tech reporter who asked about how the Swift coding language came to be. Susan went on to explain that Apple looked at languages such as C++, Java, and Python, took what makes that code good and created a education friendly language that students of all ages can understand. With coding Susan also talked about how they are trying to make the IPad more globally available for countries that do not have a large access to the internet and technology. Coding is a very fun and easy career to get into and zip Apple sees that it’s growth in the near further will need a surplus of young coding minds. Another question that came up was about why Apple selected Chicago as the home of this Keynote presentation. They selected Chicago because the Chicago Public Schools are one of the most contributing districts in the world. She explained that they could have had the display in California, Apple’s home state, however Chicago has one of the most diverse societies in America and Lane Tech gave the Keynote the educational feeling it was set to have.
