With the first two football games of the season out of the way, the boy’s are heading off to a great start with two wins! The first game on August 25th consisted of great teamwork that lead to an amazing victory for both the Varsity and Sophomore teams. None of the members let the pressure get to them as they played against Marian Catholic High School. Varsity winning their first game at a whopping 40 – 33. Taking the victory home to share with everybody.  Although, they can not let their guards down. Staying focused and working together is key for the Spartans to win.

On Friday September 1st the Spartans had their second game of the season. Never failing to keep their fans on their toes in the bleachers as they played their hearts out on the field.

Our Sophomore team had a close call with only a two point difference, but still managed to pull through and land a win with 16-14 points. Everybody became nervous when the opposing team started to catch up, but our Spartans did not let them get the win.

The Varsity gave it their all and finished the game with an amazing 40-0 win against CICS Chicago Quest. The Spartans never gave up and worked as a team, to defeat their opponents. That is the type of determination to win we hope they will keep for the rest of the season. We’re proud to be Spartans and have two victories on our plates.

We don’t know what got into our Spartans this year, but lets hope they keep working at it and coming back with victories. This year is a fresh start, let’s cheer the football team on and hope for more victories! GO SPARTANS!!!
