You and your friends want to go get pizza, but where? There’s so many pizza places out there it’s almost impossible to choose, even more so with all of the new pizza joints popping up. You may have heard of two brand new pizzerias that opened around the same time, called Blaze’s Pizza and Pizza Studio. They even have the same premise: customize your own pizza with your own types of sauce, crust, cheese, and toppings, then it’ll be cooked in a fire oven. So what’s the difference between these two competing pizza joints? Well, I’ve got an answer.
First of all, let’s take a look at Pizza Studio since I’ve already done a review on Blaze’s. Like Blaze’s, Pizza Studio also had very little parking spots, that are complicated to get to. On the bright side, there’s lots of seating and the restaurant is spacey. Its environment is modern, elegant, and artsy, especially since there is artwork hung up in the center of the restaurant for commissioning. The music being played throughout the building is upbeat, but the service isn’t. Although the employees are efficient and get their jobs done correctly, they aren’t as enthusiastic and welcoming as the staff at Blaze’s. But they make up for that with their fast service. As for their food, it doesn’t look the most appealing, depending on what kind of crust you get, but it’s taste is alright. The sauce is very good, but the crust is sort of gummy and burnt in certain areas. The gluten free crust also has similar issues. The toppings, vegetables included, tasted very good and made up for the crust. The mozzarella cheese is mouthwatering and very tasty. Unfortunately, the vegan cheese is awful so it’s best not to go with that option. Overall, the food tasted alright, but it wasn’t exceptional. It was very similar to Blaze’s Pizza. The environment was awesome and the service was average. And most importantly, it’s a good place for teens.
Now for the best part, which is the comparison. Blaze’s Pizza and Pizza Studio are almost like Burger King and McDonald’s. Very similar, yet one is just a bit better than the other. In terms of environment, both restaurants were warm, upbeat, and modern but Pizza Studio had more space and the artwork made the place a bit more lively. On the other hand, Blaze’s service was more enthusiastic and welcoming than Pizza Studio’s. The prices were pretty similar, and both menus had tons of delicious choices. Same goes for appearance, both pizzas looked decent, but the partially burnt crust looked a tad unappealing. As for taste, Blaze’s is superior. You can’t beat their juicy toppings and melted cheese. Pizza Studio had delectable pizza too, but the gummy crust makes the food a little less enjoyable. Personally, I prefer Blaze’s Pizza, but I suggest trying out both pizzerias. They’re both good environments for teens, they both have good food, and they’re both worth visiting. So go ahead, try out these two pizza joints and you be the judge.
