Go Cubs Go!

The Chicago Cubs had an extraordinary season this year! The team consisting of several rookies and oldies, pulled together to shock, not only Chicago, but the entire baseball audience. In the regular season, they took many off guard by winning ninety seven games when ESPN only predicted only about eighty and no chance in the playoffs. They proved them wrong! After sweeping everyone off their feet in the regular season, earned the last wild card position and rocked their playoffs! They fought long and hard each game, neck to neck with all the other big shot teams including the dramatic game against the Pittsburgh Pirates and then the exhilarating game against the St. Louis Cardinals ending both their seasons and moving on to the playoffs. There they faced the New York Mets, coming up short. This loss did not destroy all hope for the Cubbies, it only brought the up the question: What will go down next year? Many positions are switching and are being repaired. They received countless recognitions by people all over; Joe Maddon won the Coach of the Year Award, Kris Bryant won the Player of the Year, and Jake Arrieta won the CY Young Award. Other players such as starter Jon Lester, power hitter, Kyle Shrawrber, infielder Addison Russell, better yet the whole team, has made such remarkable advancements and created some breathtaking memories. This year is only the beginning. With this new vibe and the exciting atmosphere down at Wrigley Field nothing will stop us from getting better, righting our wrongs, and dominating next season. Let’s go Cubs!
