The OLCHS golf team has gotten off to an amazing start to the season, recently finishing 3rd in the Argo Invitational! The Oak Lawn golf team has a Junior Varsity and Varsity team that trains at Stony Creek Golf Course in Oak Lawn. The team has matches against other schools in the conference 2-3 times a week. Coaches Pat Mayer and Kate Mellone have been impressed by every golfer on the team, especially by Senior Mikey Bernitt. Bernitt has the best average score on the varsity team. Junior Jake McTeague is also having a successful season, recently winning “The Longest Putt Award” at the Argo Invitational. The Golf Conference is on Monday, September 24th, at Coghill Golf Course in Lemont. Best of luck to all the Spartan Golfers!
