Scholastic Bowl Starting Strong

Two pre-season tournaments showed that this year’s Scholastic Bowl team has a very high chance of taking first place in conference during the upcoming season. The varsity team, which is all girls at the moment, is captained by senior Gina Snyder who states, “I’m hopeful and excited for the season because we have a lot of very talented members on the team who have been shining through in the tournaments. One of the members who’s been shining through is senior, Jade Ryerson who had the most toss ups in the whole of the Richards Matt Glavin invitational, states. “I love scholastic bowl because it challenges me and I get to put all my random knowledge to the test.” Not only are individual members shining through, but the team as whole is doing very well. Also at the Matt Gavin invitational, the team took a second place. As for the upcoming season, Coach Jodelka comments, “I’m looking forward to seeing the other members of the team contribute, and they have more of a chance to participate after last year’s team, which could’ve made them feel intimidated.” Scholastic Bowl begins their conference season after returning from winter break.
